Things got seriously heated between the NRLW Roosters and Titans teams in a mid-match scrap.
Footage of the Roosters winger Jayme Fressard chucking the game ball at Titans centre Jaime Chapman has gone viral after it ended in a full-blown brawl between both sides backing their teammate.
“Jaime, JAIME, JAIME!!!!,” the ref repeated trying to calm things down, but the fight was just warming up.
Each team came together in an aggressive confrontation before over a dozen hands were seen finding any opposition to push back.
“Oh there it is, there’s the frustration boiling over from the Roosters,” a commentator can be heard saying. “It’s been simmering throughout, now they really are angry. Gee whiz!”
By the end, Titans prop Jessika Elliston was shoved right up against the crowd boundary by two Roosters players, while Jaime was left behind to have a chat with the ref.
It didn’t bode well for her, as she ended up sin-binned for the whole debacle.
Fans have been reacting to the clash, with one writing: “Girls showing some passion.”
“This is worth the price of admission alone,” said another.
While a third said: “They do it better than the blokes.”
Others are calling the whole thing unnecessary, to begin with.
“Starts it then stands back and watches 😂🤦🏽♂️,” wrote one commenter.
Another said: “I love the women go hard, but it would be a shame to see continuous push & shoves like this and even punches…”
