Get ready for that one paru mate of yours to take the new fart audio emoji waaay too far

There's heaps of other ones they could choose from too, but we know they won't...

Google is adding a crack-up twist to phone calls for Android users with their new emoji feature.

The next Google Phone update is bringing in a bunch of 'audio emojis,' including the poo emoji that lets rip with a fart sound when you tap it.

When you're having a yarn and pick one of these "Audio Emojis," not only do you get a mean animation but also a sound that lasts a few seconds. And yeah, both sides of the call get to hear it!

The lineup includes applause for celebratory moments, laughter for when you’re cracking up, party noises for festive vibes, a trombone’s “womp-womp” for disappointments, a ripping fart sound from the poo emoji, and a classic drum “ba dum tss” for comedic effect.

The six new emojis have been tested and shared by @9to5Google on X (formerly Twitter).

9to5Google also reports “there’s a bit of a ‘cooldown’ in between that prevents you from playing sounds back to back".

That’s probably for the best - I reckon we all know someone who'd be smashing those buttons like no tomorrow

So, what do we reckon? Is this a crap idea or do we need an iPhone version sussed too?
